Current Planner Setup

Hello planner lovers! I am so incredibly excited to start this blog. I am currently on summer break, and while I'm not as busy as I am during the school year, I still find myself using my planner every single day. I feel lost without it, and now that I'm juggling schedules as a family of four, I need my written schedule even more than before.

I'm going to use this blog to share my planner kits, talk about how I use my planners, and of course share how I decorate it. I will also share links for any and all purchased planner decorations so you can purchase everything for yourself.

At the end of the school year I was using Cocoa Daisy inserts in my Filofax Personal Fluro, but I quickly became overwhelmed with the day-to-day use of a page-per-day insert system, and I was falling behind on planning ahead, simply because I didn't have the whole year's inserts in my planner. For a month, I actually STOPPED using a planner. EEK!

I like to be able to pencil something in 2-or-so months in advance, and when your inserts are shipped month-to-month, that can't happen. I LOVE the colors and all the extras Cocoa Daisy offers, but it just wasn't for me. I can definitely see myself trying the Cocoa Daisy subscription again in the future if I can figure out a way to incorporate my long-term planning.

If you're no stranger to the planning community, you know that Erin Condren launched her 2015-2016 Life Planner early in June. I had told myself that I wasn't going to purchase one, because I had an Erin Condren back in 2013 and I just didn't love the vertical style of planning that much. But the more I looked in the Erin Condren groups on Facebook and on Instagram, the more I loved the way the awesomely decorated pages looked, and I just didn't care for the colors and designs of the horizontal layout, so I sprung for this beauty:

I designed these covers for myself, and was SO excited when this baby showed up in that gorgeous, fancy Erin Condren box.

I'm still figuring out how to use the vertical style, and I really need to figure out how to write smaller. I'm hoping I can make this planner work for me, because I desperately want to love it...plus, I've designed a ton of cute stickers to use to decorate my weeks (you know, the important stuff!).

That's it for now! I am excited to blog more and more, so make sure you check back for some more in-depth, informative posts!
